Project: Internet Quality of Service assessment for 5 operators in Republic of Benin.

Client: Porting Benin, ARCEP Benin (Telecoms Regulator)

Situation: The client, the telecom regulator of Benin commissioned an assessment of the 5 main fixed broadband Internet service providers in the city of Cotonou. This was to determine if ISPs were delivering Internet capacity to clients true to the advertised rates.

Solution: Relying on a fully customised and scripted open source setup leveraging tools like smokeping, speedtest-cli, mtr, libretest and Mikrotik network hardware we built a highly functional and automated dashboard to burst traffic to a central server located at the local Internet exchange, thereby logging interface utilisation, latency and packet loss to our central test node and other popular internet destinations across the world.

Project: Turnkey installation of Wi-Fi, cabled network, satellite and microwave Internet across 3 work and residential camps in the Northern Region of Ghana.

Client: Munck Civil Engineering Aps.

Situation: The client, having won a government of Ghana contract to rebuild 9 bridges in Northern Ghana needed a robust Internet and local area network setup to aid in communication and collaboration with external partners. The assignment was complicated due to the remote nature of the camp sites and distance from existing telco infrastructure.

Solution: Supplied Internet connectivity to all sites with a mixture of technologies such as VSAT and microwave. Unifi line of wi-fi products was employed for seamless connectivity across all camps. D-Link switches and Mikrotik routers for switching and routing.

Project: Provision of 155Mbps dedicated Internet service to Kusi festival of ideas.

Client: Ghana Media Alliance and Nation Media Group

Situation: The client, being event organiser for the pan-africans event dubbed Kusi Festival of Ideas, needed stable high bandwidth connection to support global streaming of the event, facilitate video conferencing with remote panelists and also keep physically present attendees connected to the Internet.

Solution: Supplied Internet bandwidth via high capacity microwave radio on 5GHz fixed wireless access PTP radio from mimosa (B5x). Distributed wi-fi via Mikrotik (capax).

Project: Installation of C band satellite terminal for rural ISP backhaul.

Client: Bluetown Ghana Ltd

Situation: The client, being a provider of Internet services to rural areas sought the expansion of backhaul capacity on their Internet backhaul link. The existing VSAT terminals needed to be upgraded by addition of another C-band

Solution: Project management and installation support for the satellite vendor to deliver, assemble and then install secondary Hughes terminal for circuit expansion.

Project: Migration of enterprise network from non managed d-link switches to Cisco 2900L managed switches, for better functionality and granular control of routing and switching.

Client: Leading manufacturer

Situation: The client, a leading manufacturer of cables wanted to modernise their IT network and ensure it is fully capable of supporting enterprise communication and collaboration along with automation on the factory floor.

Solution: Installation and configuration of layer 3 Cisco switches, meraki wifi and victron power inverter backup system for rock solid IT environment allowing granular control of services, traffic and user access.
